Live with Intention
It’s been a very long time since I’ve written for the purpose of sharing inspiration. But there’s nothing more exciting and motivating than having someone with whom to have dialogue to kickstart my writing passion – four months since the coronavirus gripped us from our sense of normalcy and forced us into a state of partial paralysis. From the hearts and souls of breathing humans, it stole hope, it stole dreams, it stole patterns of everyday living….it stole life. And yet someone, to add insult to injury, with all their scientific wisdom, gave it a “proper name” – Covid19 – as if this Satanic demon would look better, feel better, do better – and restore that which was irretrievably thieved! What is left for those of us who remain, who, in the midst of searching for optimism may possibly be physically, emotionally, and spiritually shredded? It may seem difficult to remain hopeful about our future while cautiously tip-toeing through and navigating our way to our next goal – or simply to that next thing that brings us joy, no matter how trivial. We wake up each day and we breathe! Involuntarily. WE BREATHE! We give thanks. We really do have so much for which to give thanks despite it all. Our lives still hold purpose. Our lives still hold hope. And for those reasons we must plough on through and live our lives……with intention!

August 4, 2020 at 11:55 pmGreat inspiration! I have found that this situation has caused me to be even more intentional in fulfilling the purposes God has for me! Each day I thrive to make a difference! That’s my focus…Lord help me to look beyond all that’s going on, help me to fulfill all you have for me to do! And I’m loving it! Yes BE INTENTIONAL!❤️

August 5, 2020 at 8:00 amWell written Shawnette. This situation is extremely scary and I am trying to get use to our new normal as this is our new way of life. If someone had told us in 2019 that the world we live in was about to change in 2020 and we would all be social distancing and wearing masks no one would have believed, but look at us all now. I pray that as we are somewhat allowed to carefully ease back into a few things that we stay vigilant.

August 5, 2020 at 11:59 amIt really is very scary how it all unfolded, Patricia. I agree with you in that I’d like to be able to do some things I used to do as well..and I hope soon.
